spindle_ella: (Walk Backwards Into Hell)
- Need to get on top of my etsy orders, I was there on Friday but got nine new ones over the weekend.  Also need to finish making up the pile of leather panels for my 'flawed' listing (apparently I'm further behind on this than I thought, since I made sixteen last week and still have more) and list them, then add the listing for spare sets of elastics.  Also maybe finish the job of switching my listing types over, since that's still half-done.  Would be nice to do some spindling, but I think I'll be limited to 10 mins per day at most.  I've ordered the temporary tattoo paper I wanted though, so might manage to get that done.

- Ideally I'd like to make a dent in one of the writing books, and finish Water Ways, but we'll see.

- There's no way in hell I'll finish the Little Mermaid retelling before the 1st, but I want to try to add to it at NaNo speed this next few days.  Once the 1st hits my writing goal is basically NaNo.  I don't think I'll be getting to the event on the 4th, because it's in a difficult location to get to and the person who put up the announcement didn't bother with a time.  To be fair, it's not like that's useful information or anything.

- Workroom tidying is ongoing project.

- Maybe think up a better title for my NaNo project and design the cover.  My BA is in Illustration and Design, I might as well get some use out of it.

There's a few things I'd like to get done before NaNo starts:

- get all my leftover leather panels made up into notebooks and listed.  It's easiest to sell ready-mades and flaws before Christmas, so if I can get them done this week I'm not flailing about closer to the time, or in Nov. when I could be writing.  I only have one outstanding order right now (waiting for my elastic order to finish it), so it's a good time.

- finish my Little Mermaid retelling.  Not gonna happen, because it's turned into a bloody novel, but a girl can dream.

- finish reading my guide to police procedure and the various writing books I wanted to get through before leaping into my NaNo project.  I have most of it plotted out and have written a lot of snippets (which have received a pretty good response), but for NaNo I'm doing the proper fill-in for the bits where my scene index-cards just say 'and then X happens'.  Finishing the reading is unlikely to happen too, but dreams!

- I kinda want to ask some people in my NaNo area if they'd like to set up some impromptu meetings.  It's a hassle for me to get to the meets that have been set up, as they all involve public transport and a long walk, and I've got a certain limit before my nervous system nopes out, but my town is mid-point between some of the outlying peeps and the official meetings.  I mean, it's an hour and a half for the person in Skelton to get to a meet in her car, and only half an hour to my town.  Not sure of the internal politics though.  It would be easier if I could just say "come to my house!" I think, but my house is tiny and it's still a tip from AXA taking so long to clear the leak in our kitchen (Last Nov. until May of this year).  We got used to working around stuff, and there's always something more pressing than tidying (in related news, this weekend I'm going to take a shot at fixing the taps, since the previous five workmen we've had in seem to have learned their trade from YouTube videos anyway.  I'd say wish me luck, but I need way more than luck).

- clear more of my workroom so I can finally get set up in there again instead of having all my shit cluttering up the bedroom.  See above comments about house being a wreck.
