It arrived today - not so much a box though, so calling it a 'mini-box' seems a little weird? IDK.

I don't understand why the pictures are sideways again but I am le tired.

So I got a crime novel set in Alaska, which looks pretty interesting, and some wrist warmers.

wrist warmers

The wrist-warmers actually gave me a weird sort of crisis.  Because I fucking love wrist-warmers; I have so many pairs; I've knitted so many pairs; I have dozens.  And I suddenly realised that I haven't worn any this winter.  Like, it's February and this is the first time I've put wrist warmers on?  What the fuck? I've worn gloves, why not my wrist-warmers?

It was a weird moment.

Also my leather order contained this piece with a major split.

damaged sheet of leather

It's kinda par for the course when working with leather, but it's a piece I can't send out to a customer.  I was annoyed at first (over a tenner lost until someone buys it as a 'misfit' at a discount), but then it suddenly dawned on me that I've been wanting one in this colour, in a size I can cut this down to... so I guess I'm getting a new traveller's notebook sooner rather than later.  (They may last for decades, but I've noticed that switching between different ones improves my social media hits for the shop, so I have a growing collection).

It's been pissing it down all day so I totally put off going to the post office until tomorrow too.  Ah, well.  I have two copies of the Discworld Imaginarium to go back because apparently sending me an undamaged copy is hard.  It's incredibly frustrating.  In related news: I have spent way too much money on books this month.  Must behave next month.  But then that's the trigger for me to misbehave, I think.  I need to do more crafting too, but most of my crafting time is being taken up by shop-related stuff so IDK.  Not enough hours in the day.

Love the wrist warmers! I call them fingerless gloves. I've made a couple of pair and wear my favorites when I working in the studio and it's cold. :)
