Late to the Party (but when am I not?).

I'm not good with resolutions, so here are some general 'wants' I'm after this year. I've put it under a cut because it's super-long (I deal with pain etc. by using distraction, so there's a lot).
House
* get the kitchen sorted (we had a leak and it's still fucked, but this is also a chance for an overhaul)
* insurance/workmen over and done with. UUUUUUUUUUUUGH.
* repainting
* paint cupboards
* new handles
* improve pantry cupboard set up (i.e. add tall BILLY bookcase with doors)
* set up the hydroponics kit that's currently cluttering up the cupboards
* sort bathroom
*deal with plant
* regrout tiles with anti-mould grout
* tile stickers for the god-awful ones
* re-seal bath
* paint
* repaint landing/stairs and cover up the plasterwork the dipshit joiner left. (Having your own place is nice, having to deal with home repairs and fucking idiot workmen not so much. There wasn't enough room for the sliding loft-hatch he'd brought with him, so he just cut a hole in the wall so that it had room to open, without asking us first, his plan being to plaster over the hole afterwards. When we pointed out the obvious problem that if he plastered over the hole he'd cut we wouldn't be able to slide the hatch into that hole and therefore would be unable to open the loft he was just like 'oh').
* relatedly, DIY a new loft-hatch and loft-ladder so we can actually use the space
* get my tea collection under some semblance of control.
* Empty half-closet of videos and put fluff in there.
* trf any eligible videos to digital
* garden beaten into submission.
* ally with the sweet cicely and wage war on the wild strawberries
* fish and bonemeal down
* deal with left-hand bed
* fuchsia out
* gooseberries out
* replant raspberries
* new gooseberries
* polarberry aww yiss
* slate down
* deal with back bed
* make netting easier
*clear under cherry
* mints under plum
* are the ramsons okay?
* maybe retry with the saffron crocuses? (my mum 'helped' with the weeding and pulled them all up, much to my horror).
* right hand bed
* pull the cranberries
* pull the chilean guava
* new planter for corner with bee-sipper and jiagulan
* make a decision on whether grape or kiwi goes in the ground for World War Vine with next-door's grape.
* new lavender bushes and thyme for the bumbles; I've missed watching them terrorise door-to-door salesfolk
* pot the mulberry
* repot the myrtle
* move hanging blackberry
* repot the little shit (what I've named my fig tree, because he's a little goddamn shit)
* repot the pomegranate
* deal with the salad burnet takeover
* decide what's going in the kitchen-door trug this year
* definitely watermelon aww yiss (we might be in the North of England but the chemical works causes a local microclimate, see also: pomegranate and fig).
* peppers again 'cos they were so good
* get some new herbs from Newcastle market
* plant seeds up - tomatoes, lettuce, etc.
* Sort out workroom
* much clearing needed
* need new furniture
* desk
* basket shelves
* wall shelves
* armchair and rug for the cosy
* blinds (v necessary)
* rugs
* clear out some books and DVDs
*January target
Financial Stuff
* Get debt right down as much as possible
* low spend
* achieve some sort of residual income
Fun Stuff
* get my shit together and be more active and reliable on social media
* blog
* complete 12 online short-courses
* make progress on hand-lettering (I've wanted to do this for some time, but it's my white-whale. Something I find hard to get people in my life to understand is that creativity doesn't necessarily translate to creativity in all areas. I may have a degree in Natural History Illustration, however I also once made my typography lecturer cry - with laughter, yes, but the point stands).
* Stick to reading target as much as possible - I've quit trying to do 'number of books' because I get caught up by book length, too many long books or deliberately looking for short ones etc. instead of reading a long one I actually want to read. Now I just set a Pomodoro going and try to read for at least 25 minutes per day.
* Stick to note-making target. Again, Pomodoro 25 mins.
* more writing
* GYWO habit - word-count sucks when I'm editing so this seems more doable?
* Inkingitout - 75K because some word-count is good
* get to some writers' meets in Hartlepool during lighter months
* Make progress on novel, or at least beat short-stories into a collection
* more varied crafting, I've missed it
* progress on learning lace knitting
* work through vast reserves of fluff
* be more active on Ravelry
* at least some progress on learning a new language
* I've wanted to learn tarot for a while, and the number of people on my flist who practice it is making me want it more
* get out to the local nature reserve, especially for woolly events!
* take sketchbook in good-weather months
* draw more in general; I'm disgracefully out of practice (especially for a trained natural history illustrator)
* get to life drawing classes at MIMA
Shop
* overhaul branding
* paint logo
* sort out listings
* get the charms listing done
* finally set up website
* buy equipment and start doing stickers
* need to design lots of stickers before I buy expensive equipment
* practice metal stamping
* practice stitching and make it available
* RIVETS
* earbud and cable organisers
* covers for Mini Happy Planner
* ring-binder covers
* single-cahier covers
* shop blog
* YouTube
