Traveller's Notebook

My EDC has been a bit too big for a while now, and there's some depressing stuff in recent months, so I figured I'd treat myself to one of the new "personal" size traveller's notebooks, with a fresh start to the planner, as a birthday present. Some self-assembly was, of course, required. I also got myself a laminator with some of my birthday cash, and made myself a dashboard - I think these may find their way into the shop, once I can work out the paper logistics.
First, the leather cover and the notebook inserts need making.

I only put the 'chalkboard' through the laminator, but I'll do the birds another time so I can switch out dashboards when I feel like a change.

The planner page for May is a bit chaotic, but it's only for the 17th onwards, so I'm testing for sizing.

You can't get Midori credit card pouches in this size, so I got a Filofax one, trimmed it down, and attached it to my file using washi. I just really need my washi and cute page markers safe.

Size comparison; the new one is also substantially thinner. Here's to keeping it that way.

Having used the new one for a couple of days now, I do love the size; it fits in my bag a lot more easily. My old one had all kinds of inserts that I don't really need in an every-day-carry, so I'm going to try to stay disciplined with this one.
Also, I wasn't going to do that particular line of my genprompts bingo card, but if I do decide to then I think this fits my "These are a few of my favourite things" square - making things, stationery, low-key planning, cute scrapbook paper, laminating, traveller's notebooks; all things I fave.
