spindle_ellaI've bought far too many books this month; I need to do some reading so I can work out which to sell on, which to keep, etc.
Also, I don't know why I signed up for the '1000 words or under' fest. I can't write stuff that short. I spent four hours doing a 1300 word story I was happy with, then 16 hours trimming it down. I'm not happy with it now; the characterisation's a bit off because I've had to trim sentences, and it doesn't have my usual level of description. I think I'll do a version for the fest and then flesh it out again into a "director's cut", so to speak.
I have notebooks due out tomorrow and I'm not feeling great. Urgh.
