More of an upcycle than a craft project. I bought some candles really cheap, and they don't burn very well once you get past the halfway point. But I like the frosted jars, so I decided to remove the wax and keep the jar. Melted out the wax, gave it a thorough scrub, and was about to store it away when I realised it was a good size for my aloe, which has been in a too-small pot for too long.

Bit of gravel, bit of compost, aloe now has a new home. I hope she's happy in there.







I'm still tidying the garden out, hence the mess in the background.

I'm really pleased with it :D (especially considering it's a used reduced-rack candle and some aquarium gravel)

I like being able to see the layers inside :D I may have to use the other one as a planter too (must use candle first though, lol)

Awesome! I just saved a nice glass piece that a used candle came in as well. I have it on my book case and filled it with some necklaces and bracelets that the kids made when they were little.

They put candles in such pretty containers; good for all kinds of things though :)
