Book Sleeve
I only had one notebook to make yesterday (shop soooo slooooow at the mo), so I got everything pressing, and then instead of doing some of the shop-admin, or practising my leather-stitching, I procrastinated by making a book sleeve. Keep in mind that all my sewing tools are buried under kitchen stuff (still waiting for workmen yay) so it was a bad time, but my brain wants what it wants.

Forgot to photograph a few stages but here is hand-stitched (sewing machine also buried) project being turned right way around.
Actually looks okay to me, considering I eyeballed the measurements, used blunt scissors to cut it, and sewed it with a random needle and green nylon beading thread (cotton bobbins are also buried. I didn't think I'd need my fabric sewing equipment. I also didn't realise we'd still be waiting for our kitchen to be fixed OVER THREE MONTHS LATER, THANKS AXA).
Seems to work though. Pictured with The Tokyo Zodiac Murders by Soji Shimada, which I picked up entirely out of curiosity and haven't started yet. My To Read pile is crazy.
So, yeah, not even sure if this will fit a bingo fill. I'll look for one to retroactively apply it to later. I'm actually fairly pleased with the result; it's far from perfect, but it'll do the job. Also, I know some people like to keep their traveller's notebooks in sleeves to protect them (I prefer the battered look myself, but to each their own), so technically I did experiment with a new product? Once I have my equipment I know I can do a much more professional job. Look at me being all productive and shit.
In other news I fell down the stairs again last night and my leg is still all tingly. Like I don't have enough problems with my nervous system.

The sleeve looks cute! I've seen some TN girls buying really pretty ones for their leather TNs. I only have cheap non-leather ones, but I've been playing with the idea of making a kind of bag for my smaller-sized planners, especially my light colored ones, so I can put them in my bag. Not that I really go anywhere but, it seems like it'd be a fun project to do rofl.
