Imma blog!

I've been a bit overwhelmed by, well, everything. But I'm going to get my shit together and blog, or something.

Wedding was slightly chaotic, but we got there in the end. Honeymoon was pretty good - we didn't do any real touristy stuff, just wandered around, and I bought too much tea. Okay, there's no such thing as too much tea, but I spent too much on tea. It'll last me a few months though; that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. The real kicker was a Milk Oolong, which is my favourite anyway but this one is something else (Chris told me to buy it purely because of the look on my face when I tried the sample; never thought I'd see the day when he'd tell me I should drop £22 on 50g of tea, so god only knows what I looked like. He didn't come into Kusmi with me, which is just as well because I might have got Disapproving Eyebrows at that bill; the Patisserie across the road from there had cappuccino eclairs, so he was quite happy in there while I took my time).

Chris's take on the Natural History Museum: Uhh... dinosaurs were so small. I thought they were huge.
Chris's take on Big Ben: We saw Big Ben?
Chris's take on Hyde Park: where the fucking aerodactyls at?

Our hotel room had a hydrotherapy bath in it though, and it helped a lot more than I thought one would, so one is now on our House list. They might be expensive, but when you're talking about 'helps me function' over 'luxury' it's more doable. The more functional I am the more I can earn, which kinda pays for the bath and more besides? Maths.

I haven't done much craft-wise; I've needed to rest up and have been reading a lot. The shop is slow at the moment, but hopefully it'll pick up once holiday season starts (traveller's notebooks seem to spike in summer and Christmas-time). Being closed for so long seems to have affected me this time in a way it hasn't in the past.

I've set up a few goals in my planner - I'm not great at New Year's Resolutions (especially this year as my attention was on the wedding) but seem to settle in around February, so instead of waiting for the following year I've just taken to plotting things out when they come to me. Also, a big part of my 'planning' is to spread stuff out instead of binging an activity and fucking it up because I've taken on too much. See: previous adventures with free online courses. I'm permitting myself one at a time now, and just signed up for "Plagues, Witches and War: The Worlds of Historical Fiction" on Coursera.

Must do some gardening, however today I need to do a post run. New pokemon have nothing to do with it, honest.

That'll do for now; I may blog about books later.
