Journal Post
Trying to stick to the idea of posting once a week, minimum XD I'd set a specific day, but I know how that rolls - I miss the day, every time. A vague 'once a week' goal is a thousand times more doable for me.
I feel like half of growing up is working out what you're capable of.
Haven't really been up to much; Chris and I wentpokemon hunting for a day out in Newcastle to check out the new Forbidden Planet and have a mooch around, and hunt for pokemon of course, because that's our thing now. It seems weird, but I'd never get him to go for just a walk, so it works for us; we talk as we wander around, like we used to when we had the dog. Pokemon is easier right now than getting another dog, what with the whole thing of the house being a goddamn tip and my problems with bending down.
It still seemed a bit mad when we went all the way down to the Keep to try to catch a rare one though. Also our plans for tomorrow are Orange Pip (a farmers/foodie market type thing in the hipster part of town) and to hit the chikorita nest on Linthorpe road.
I'm totally a grown-up, okay?
Crafts-wise I've mostly been making notebook orders, although the bases came for more of the heart-shaped glow-pendants. Also my new glass dip-pen came today; now I just need to wait until I can afford more shimmery diamine.
Coursera is being weird; it insists I've completed Plagues, Witches and War, but there are five or six more lessons left, including two written assignments? Maybe those only get marked if I pay for the course. I'm still going to do them though. I ended up buying one of the featured books, The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane, so that's another one on my to-read list. I've signed up for Archaeoastronomy as my next course, as I'll be done by March 13th. I am a woman of varied curiosities.
Writing has been abysmal. Must do better.
I've been reading though; I finished Precious Victims, a true-crime book about Paula Sims. That was a weird one; it's hard to believe she thought she'd get away with it. I'm now reading Bizarre London; Discover the Capital's Secrets and Surprises, which I meant to read before we went down there on Honeymoon, but I guess I have notes for when we go again. Didn't even occur to me to go to the Magic Circle.
